How We Work Together

As your Social Impact Strategist, my role is to ensure your digital presence is intentional, strategic, and aligned with your mission. I don’t just “post content.” I design communication systems that help your organization grow visibility, deepen trust, and expand impact.

This guide outlines how we collaborate, what I’ll need from you, and what you can expect from me.

As your Social Impact Strategist, my role is to ensure your digital presence is intentional, strategic, and aligned with your mission. I don’t just “post content.” I design communication systems that help your organization grow visibility, deepen trust, and expand impact.

This guide outlines how we collaborate, what I’ll need from you, and what you can expect from me.

SECTION 1: KEY TERMS & PHRASES

When we discuss your content strategy, you may hear the following terms:

Content Focus (Content Category): The purpose behind a post: educational, promotional, trust-building, engagement-driven, lifestyle, advocacy, etc.

Content Type: The format the content takes:

  • Standalone Graphic

  • Carousel (swipe-through post)

  • Reel (short-form edited video)

  • Front-Facing Video

  • Story Series

  • Poll or Interactive Post

Posting Platform: Where the content will live:

  • Instagram (Grid, Stories, Reels)

  • Facebook

  • LinkedIn

  • Threads

  • Other agreed-upon platforms

Content Breakdown: A mapped plan outlining what topics, formats, and goals we are balancing over a given period of time.

Why This Matters: Different formats serve different goals:

  • Carousels → Teach complex ideas step-by-step

  • Reels → Capture attention and increase reach

  • Front-facing videos → Build trust and authority

  • Polls & interactive posts → Increase engagement and gather audience insight

A strong strategy balances education, engagement, visibility, and credibility.

Core Content Categories You May See in Your Strategy

  • Educational / Informational: Positions your brand as a trusted resource.

  • Client Testimonials / Community Wins: Builds social proof and credibility.

  • Authority & Thought Leadership: Highlights your expertise and values.

  • Timely & Trending Moments: Keeps your brand culturally relevant and visible.

  • Engagement-Driven Content: Invites your audience into conversation.

  • Lifestyle / Mission-Centered Content: Humanizes your work and builds emotional connection.

SECTION 2: WHAT I NEED FROM YOU... AND WHAT I DON’T

For your strategy to perform at its highest level, I’ll need:

  • ✅ Testimonials and success stories

  • ✅ High-quality photos & video (events, headshots, team, behind-the-scenes)

  • ✅ Brand assets (logos, fonts, color codes, imagery)

  • ✅ Key messaging, campaign priorities, or organizational updates

  • ✅ Timely responses to questions or approvals

What Not to Send

  • 🚫 Internal documents not intended for public content

  • 🚫 Design revisions outside the approval window

  • 🚫 Content requests outside of our agreed scope without prior discussion

Clear communication helps protect both timelines and quality.

SECTION 3: HOW OUR WORKFLOW OPERATES

  • Content Planning: We will collaborate on content priorities at an agreed-upon cadence (monthly or quarterly).

  • Content Delivery & Approvals: Content will be delivered via email and/or a shared folder for review.

    • You will have a designated approval window.

    • If feedback is not received within that window, content may be scheduled as planned to avoid disruption.

  • Scheduling & Posting: Content will be scheduled through professional scheduling platforms or posted natively, depending on strategy.

  • Meetings: All meetings are booked through Acuity Scheduling and held during business hours.

SECTION 4: WORKING HOURS & COMMUNICATION

  • Office Hours: Monday–Friday | 9:30 AM–5:30 PM EST

  • Closed:

    • Weekends

    • Major holidays

    • Scheduled time off, with advance notice provided

  • Messages sent outside business hours will be answered the next business day.

  • If delays occur due to approvals or missing assets, content will move to the next available business day.

SECTION 5: WHAT I EXPECT FROM YOU

  • Collaborative participation in planning

  • Timely responses

  • Clear communication

  • Respect for agreed-upon scope

SECTION 6: WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM ME

  • Strategic, mission-aligned content

  • Prompt and professional communication

  • Expertise in platform algorithms and trends

  • Creative direction tailored to your organization

  • Content built for visibility, growth, and long-term credibility

SECTION 7: IMPORTANT NOTES

  • File Formats: All content is created in professional tools (Canva, Adobe, etc.) and delivered in formats optimized for posting.

  • Timelines

    • Graphics, carousels, and static posts may be created within shorter timelines.

    • Video editing timelines vary based on complexity.

  • Feasibility: Not every idea translates well to every platform. If something isn’t realistic or strategic, I will provide an alternative solution that meets your goal more effectively.
