About Me

Hi, I'm Maiyah!

I’m a digital communications strategist driven by a commitment to equity and justice in Black and Brown communities. My work blends storytelling, design, and strategic insight to create campaigns that not only look beautiful but spark change.

Over the past four years, I’ve led initiatives recognized by members of Congress, White House officials, and national audiences — from launching the nation’s first Violence Prevention Index to producing high-impact events at the White House, SXSW, and the Congressional Black Caucus Annual Legislative Conference.

Whether it’s crafting real-time content for high-profile moments, redesigning websites for accessibility, or driving grassroots campaigns across the country, I believe digital media should educate, mobilize, and empower communities.

A proud Virginia Commonwealth University honors graduate and Ram Scholar, I’m also a member of the National Association of Black Journalists — continuing to merge creativity with advocacy to amplify voices that too often go unheard.
